Huawei's XiaoYi Work is designed to let a user assign a job, follow its progress and review the result across devices. TechNode reported beta access on September 16. Huawei's product page describes office, programming and creative tasks, with execution taking place on a local computer or a cloud computer.
That distinction separates the interface from the place where the work runs. A person can send an instruction from a phone while the connected computer uses its own files and software. The phone then becomes a way to monitor and approve the task without remaining at a desk.
