A new joint line
Lingyi's Beijing embodied intelligence factory plans to put an automated robot joint production line into service by the end of the year, Beijing Daily reported on October 21 following a factory visit. The line is designed to accommodate different manufacturers' joint products by changing fixtures, according to production head Xia Wei.
The report puts the factory's planned capacity at 10,000 robots for 2026 and 20,000 for 2027. Its overall automation rate is expected to reach 70%–80% after the joint line starts operating. These figures describe plans, rather than verified output.
Flexible assembly
The visit also details existing production methods. Tools upload screw torque and speed data, while each robot's serial number links materials, joint calibration and movement records. Beijing Daily reported that final assembly on the overhead conveyor can take 15 minutes.
The factory accepts prototype orders of one or two robots alongside larger production runs. Xia said nearby engineering teams can bring design changes directly to the production floor, shortening validation cycles from weeks to days.
